What can you find at CFEC?

Lessons are offered to beginners through advanced riders on your own horse or one of the CFEC lesson horses.
Classical riding is emphasized in dressage, jumping and hunt seat lessons. read more

Horse bedding from American Wood Products is sold at CFEC. Boarding is full care and only offered when included with a training or lesson package. Deb is available to provide coaching assistance for students during competitions.


Cedar Falls Equestrian Center is an owner operated facility.
Lessons and training are based on classical methods and are adapted to work with each individual personality. Emphasis is on correct position and proper aids according to your interest and need.
CFEC believes that consistently correct riding results in a horse with the life long physical conditioning and mental attitude to meet the rider's goals.

Kaylee Gefaller: Instructor

Kaylee is a certified early childhood educator having earned her degree from South Dakota State University.
She grew up riding and showing ponies and horses in open shows, POA shows, 4-H and Pony Club. She achieved a C-3 Pony Club Rating before heading to college.
Kaylee participated in the Equestrian Programs at Ellsworth Community College and at SDSU. At SDSU Kaylee qualified for IHSA Nationals and was promoted to assistant coach for the South Dakota State Equestrian Team!
Kaylee continues to ride and compete at Black Hawk Creek Saddle Club. She was the high point adult rider for timed events in 2014 and has placed in the top 2 for the two years prior.
Kaylee is a favorite instructor for younger students at CFEC. She teaches beginner riders and others up to age 13. She also coaches a group of young vaulters.

   Deb DeVries: Instructor/Trainer/Owner

Deb has over 25 years experience in teaching and training. She has trained and ridden through 4th Level Dressage and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science.
She teaches and trains Dressage, Vaulting and Jumping.
Deb is the only professional instructor to complete the USDF Instructor Workshop Program with the recommendation to go to testing. She has been unable to finish the testing without leaving the midwest.
Deb has completed the USDF "L"-Program. and is available to judge schooling shows and Western Dressage.
Deb is a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) Level 2 certified Vaulting Instructor. She is the coach/lunger for Blue Sky Vaulters and has instructed Pony Club for 7 yrs. and has 2 daughters who tested to C-3 before going on to other careers.
Deb is coach and lunger for Blue Sky Vaulters and others. She owns and trains 3 vaulting horses currently. Deb organizes vaulting competitions for Region V and hosts them at CFEC. She trains horses for vaulting for other teams and works with other lungers to improve their skills.
